DESCRIPTION:Do you want to teach programming to others? At school? To fri
ends?\nFamily? Co-workers? This is (hopefully) the workshop for you!\nTea
ching programming is hard\, and often fails\, resulting in\nfrustration.
One of the reasons is that teaching programming has\nmostly focussed on an
  example-based approach\, essentially by trial and\nerror. Unfortunately\
, this approach mostly only works for privileged\nstudents with plenty of
time to spare\, and who are happy to take\nrisks. Moreover\, even when it
does work\, it often produces buggy and\nunreliable code. In this worksh
 op\, we'll focus on a *systematic*\napproach to teaching\, which has produ
ced good results in many\nsettings\, particularly\, as part of the\n[DeinP
 rogramm](https://www.deinprogramm.de/)\,\n[Program by Design](https://prog
 rambydesign.org/)\, and\n[Bootstrap](https://bootstrapworld.org/) educatio
nal projects. While\nthere's lots of material\, we'll also have of time t
 o chat and\ndiscuss alternative approaches.
